1. Who We Are
psynio.com is a therapist directory operated by psynex.io. We help people find mental health professionals in the United States. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@psynio.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect limited information to operate the directory:
- Usage data — pages visited, search queries, browser type, and IP address, collected automatically via server logs and analytics tools.
- Contact information — name and email address if you reach out to us directly.
- Therapist profile data — publicly available professional information sourced from public directories.
We do not collect sensitive personal health information from visitors.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To operate and improve the directory
- To respond to inquiries you send us
- To analyze usage patterns and fix technical issues
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and to remember your preferences (such as dark mode). You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly.
5. Third-Party Services
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics collects usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and general location (city/country level). This data is processed by Google subject to their Privacy Policy. We have enabled IP anonymization and do not share personally identifiable information with advertisers.
6. Data Retention
We retain usage data for up to 12 months. Contact information is retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data:
- All users — you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you.
- California residents (CCPA) — you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal data.
- EEA/UK residents (GDPR) — you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@psynio.com.
8. Therapist Listings
Therapist profiles on psynio contain publicly available information. If you are a therapist and wish to update or remove your listing, please contact us at privacy@psynio.com. We will process reasonable removal requests within 30 days.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of psynio after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
