We are wired to connect with one another. And the nature of pain is that it can cause us to withdraw from those around us, including from ourselves. This is where I try to help; I take the art of listening seriously and recognize that being heard is a part of the therapy process. Experiences with depression, anxiety, relationships, substances and much more all impact & interfere with our ability to connect with others and with being comfortable with ourselves.
