I am a Professor of Psychology at UC Berkeley, where I lead an internationally recognized team investigating anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. I ascribe to a clinical science model, in which my research informs my practice and my practice informs my research. Additionally, I train and supervise Berkeley PhD students as they learn to provide therapy. As a therapist, I have two decades of expertise treating patients with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and emotion regulation problems. I also have extensive experience working with daily stress, social and interpersonal relationships, and couples.
