Hello there! My name is Abbey Smith, & I created The Grounded Grove because I want a space where folks can reconnect to self, place, & a sense of collectivity & belonging. I feel this is necessary in order to both survive & combat imperialism, capitalism, fascism, etc. Trees are more likely to survive in groves. This allows them to provide each other nutrients & communicate, which occurs through their root systems. This makes it imperative that each tree is firmly grounded & that their roots remain healthy. I feel humans thrive in a similar way, & that is why I pursued my certification in Ecotherapy.
