Life is complicated. Despite our best efforts, there are days where we all feel unhappy, anxious, and inadequate. Some of our struggles are results of our choices, but many of the hardships we face exist as a result of the way our loved ones and life circumstances treat us. Hardship can come in many forms: depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, addiction, and unhappy relationships. Sadly, life rarely pauses when we are struggling, and we are expected to keep functioning as professionals, parents, partners, and friends. This pressure can sometimes feel suffocating and can make an already difficult situation worse.
