About

As a licensed clinical professional counselor with a broad range of knowledge and experience of over 20 years in both the mental health and substance abuse fields, it's important to meet the client "where they are," emotionally, spritually, and psychologically. My approach to counseling is cognitive behavioral targeted towards empowerment of the client, changing negative thinking patterns and identifying client strengths to bring positive life altering changes. Other modalities of treatment are utilized as necessary, tailored to client needs. I work with individuals, families, couples, and veterans. My style is nonjudgmental with a high degree of respect, warmth and support. I specialize in addictions and mental health issues. I have worked with both adolescents and adults in individual and in group treatment. I also specialize in Anger Management and Domestic Violence. I also have been certified in Trauma Studies through the Trauma Center at the Justice Restoration Institute located in Boston, Massachusetts.
