About
I'm a licensed psychologist with a private practice in Tribeca, New York City. I was born and raised in Scotland, and have a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Glasgow. I came to New York City on a Fulbright Grant and studied at Bellevue Hospital and NYU-Medical Center. I graduated from the NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, and the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program at the Contemporary Freudian Society. I also enjoy teaching Psychology (previously at Glasgow University, & NYU), and currently teach courses on trauma, dissociation, and relational psychoanalysis at various NYC institutes. A large part of my work involves helping people adjust to challenging life situations such as navigating college or professional life, divorce, loss, separation, and recurring relational issues. I like to join you where you find yourself in life, and together we examine your feelings, attitudes and behaviors around your core issues.
