The kids I work with have been through hard things—abuse, neglect, violence, loss—and it shows up as anxiety, anger, withdrawal, or trouble at school. What they need most is safety, trust, and someone who listens without judgment. Their goals are simple: to feel better, sleep peacefully, and not be ruled by fear. They want to be seen, understood, and to know they’re not broken. Deep down, they want to be kids again—able to laugh, connect, and feel hopeful about their future.
