Hello and thank you for your interest in learning about my approach to psychotherapy and counseling! My name is Alan Cyr and I am passionate about helping others find the health, happiness, and the success that they are seeking in their lives. Whether you are looking to make positive changes in your life, reduce or eliminate unpleasant mental health symptoms, learn healthier coping strategies, and/or develop healthier interpersonal relationships, I would be honored to accompany you on your journey, sharing empirically-verified and evidenced-based interventions whenever possible. My specialties include helping those with addictions, relationship problems, recovery from trauma, and co-occurring mental health diagnoses. My approach draws heavily from Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, a type of CBT. This approach focuses on identifying, disputing, and replacing beliefs which are creating dysfunction and dissatisfaction in life.
