My ideal patient is someone who is seeking change in their lives, even if it means that doing things differently may be difficult at first. They are not afraid to "go there" no matter how hard the work may be. They are open to looking at what their barriers to change may be, as well as the ability to identify their strengths and have the motivation to work towards their best personal self. They want a therapist that is honest and direct, but yet compassionate and supportive, acting as one of their strongest cheerleaders. In essence, they want to live their best possible life that they deserve to live.
