Many parents arrive with a quiet, familiar question: How do I support my child when I’m still figuring some of this out myself? I’m a licensed social worker (LMSW) who works with children, adolescents, and the parents who care deeply about them. I don’t see children as failing or falling behind. I see kids doing their best in a world that moves quickly, places high demands on them, and doesn’t always slow down to teach emotional skills along the way. Therapy becomes a place to pause, make sense of what’s happening, and build those skills together.
