About
Throughout our unique developmental paths, we learn patterns and establish routines to help us navigate the world safely. Often, these patterns are beneficial for us, our interpersonal relationships, and our ability to navigate the world at large. Sometimes, however, these patterns develop dysfunctionaly, or become dysfunctional over time. Its is both my hope and expectation that through our work together, we can shine a light on these patterns and exceptions to patterns with an eye for those which are not, or are no longer beneficial. I find theoretical orientations are most helpfully viewed as lenses through which we can come to better understand our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Using a theoretically informed eclectic approach to counseling, I find each comprehensive theory adds depth, richness, and clarity to the unfolding counseling relationship.
