With over a decade of experience, Alex began her career as a Special Education Teacher. After earning her Masters in Social Work from University of Illinois at Chicago, she transitioned to school social work and non-profit management. She has worked with both children and adults and specializes in trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and perinatal/prenatal/postpartum mental health. She uses a holistic, culturally relevant approach and values building a strong therapeutic relationship in order to explore the root causes of presenting concerns and to work toward incremental growth/behavior change.
