I have over 20 years of experience working with children and families. I work from a strength based perspective and focus on identifying goals and then taking small achievable steps to work towards progress and a sense of accomplishment. I use play techniques with children to elicit their perspectives and develop a plan for building new understandings. I strive to support the development of problem solving skills and strategies for coping. I use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, relaxation and other current strategies such as mindfulness with both children, families and individuals to bring about positive changes.
