I see myself as a guide in your journey to self knowledge. My job is not to fix you but to help you find the resources within yourself and out there to help you maximize your potential. I tend to be very interactive, and goal directed; we work together to see if you are meeting your goals, and if not, why not. My orientation is a "YOU" centered one, where I may use any number of techniques including EMDR for trauma, Transactional Analysis for understanding your communication style, assertiveness training, and movement therapy to further the mind body connection. In my 30+ years of practice, it is difficult to say what my specialty is as I have specialized in many areas including women's health issues, trauma and LGBTQ. One specialty is my work with people with hearing loss of all ages - children, adults, baby boomers and geriatrics. I am fluent in American Sign Language.
