Alison has over 14 years of experience in counseling those suffering from a variety of issues including mood disorders such as grief, anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder as well as behavior disorders such as Impulse Control and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. She has also worked extensively with children who have been abused and neglected and suffer from the trauma they endured in the formative years of their life. Alison works from a Client Centered approach and incorporates techniques including CBT, mindfulness, sandtray and play therapy to create a safe, trusting environment that engages the client and promotes insight into thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
