Many people who seek counseling are functioning well in important areas of their lives — often very well — while feeling increasingly disconnected from themselves. They may be capable, perceptive, and deeply responsive to others, yet unsure of their own inner signals, desires, or sense of direction. Over time, this disconnection can dull vitality and make it difficult to act with an internal sense of direction, even when life appears outwardly intact. My work is psychodynamic and relational, with attention to how early experiences and relationships shape how people understand themselves, regulate emotion, and relate to others. I focus on understanding patterns and adaptations that developed for good reasons, and may no longer be serving you.
