About
I am a licensed clinical psychologist specialized in the treatment of anxiety, OCD, and disruptive behavior disorders (e.g., ADHD, ODD) in children, adolescents, and adults. I believe that a strong, trusting therapist-client relationship is key to treatment success. I engage with clients in a warm, genuine, and validating manner, often using humor to facilitate comfort in the therapeutic relationship. I am a proponent of evidence-based, solution-oriented practice and rely on the strong rapport that I develop with clients to achieve treatment outcomes, balancing warmth in the relationship with firmness on meeting treatment goals. I approach cases from a Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) perspective and work flexibly within this modality to ensure that I meet each client's unique needs. Prior to starting my own practice, I was an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University and a Senior Psychologist at the Columbia University Clinic for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CUCARD-W).
