About
Aloha, my name is Amanda Makio, I have been a resident on Hawaii Island since 2014 serving the community in a variety of counseling and advocacy positions. I have worked with teens who struggled with traditional school and justice involvement as well as their families. My experience is with underserved populations including foster youth, incarcerated women, sexual assault survivors and victims of crime. I am currently getting back into individual counseling after years of support group facilitation and victim offender conferencing.
