It can be scary to take the first step and ask for help — but therapy is so human and natural. Connecting with another person who is trying to understand you is surely the oldest way that humans have ever helped each other. What I offer most of all is a warm relationship, and a space and time for you to connect to the things that are upsetting you, so that you can get them up and out. Often that means giving them words, but first you feel them in the body, and honor them and yourself by being with. And then letting them out. I have extra training in trauma. There are a lot of ways to heal and feel better — truly!
