Thank you for connecting with me! My name is Denisse & I am the Founder of Ancestral Therapy. I work with clients who are interested in breaking cycles of ancestral trauma by reconnecting to the wisdom of their bodies, culture, and ancestors. Overall, we utilize a non-pathologizing approach and view all symptoms, defenses, and emotions as having an underlying positive intent, even if their actions or effects appear counterproductive or dysfunctional. We believe that doing the inner work is in service to all humanity and recognize the importance of bringing healing to our lineages due to colonization & systemic oppression. We currently offer telehealth services in Spanish or English to individuals who reside in California, and draw from attachment (relationship), somatic (body centered), experiential (depth oriented) and mindfulness-based (present moment) approaches while also weaving elements of social justice, spirituality, animism, & ancestral veneration into my work.
