Trained in a somatic approach to psychotherapy, I work with trauma and the impact painful life experiences have on one’s ability to connect with others, engage more fully in their chosen pursuits and find greater levels of inner peace. I have come to understand that we can’t be fully in the present or move towards the future if we are caught in the traumatic energy of the past. While suffering is part of the human condition, we hold within the very structures of our brains and the core of our regulatory systems the means to survive devastating life experiences as well as the capacity for growth and change.
