My area of expertise is PTSD, as suffered by veterans and first responders. I have published on this topic, as well as lecturing around the country at analytic institutes. I have also presented at both national and international conferences. In addition to my professional identity as a clinical psychologist and a psychoanalyst, I am also a past volunteer firefighter and EMT. My focus goes beyond mere symptom relief into characterological change brought about by deeper emotional issues. As an interpersonally trained psychoanalyst, I focus on how PTSD alters relationships, and assist my patients toward awareness of and subsequent processing of those changes.
