Every client is unique and my approach varies depending on the needs of the client. At the heart of my practice is listening carefully and maintaining a stance of curiosity with the goal of trying to understand my client's unique experience in the world. I believe the most important factor of successful treatment is not theory or technique but the quality of the relationship between client and therapist. I work collaboratively with a warm, empathic, down-to-earth style that helps individuals feel comfortable, where dialogue and the process of reflection and exploration allow insight and growth to develop. This is a second career for me. I spent my first in the entertainment industry and am especially understanding and successful with creative individuals dealing with loneliness/depression, life transitions, relationship issues and creative blocks. I am culturally sensitive and have had success treating clients from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
