I love working with clients who want a better understanding of the deep interior of their mental, physical, and spiritual function in relation to the world around them and the relationships they engage in. Using an eclectic and collaborative approach, the relationship I build with my clients is deeply rooted in the Humanistic tradition of treating others with unconditional positive regard. Paradoxically, many of our wounds are created in painful relationships that make us scared to trust other people, yet these wounds can only be healed within the context of relationship; therapy provides this opportunity. Through careful examination of their life stories, I enable my clients to learn about themselves on a deeper level, so they become aware of the patterns they engage in that keep them from from making different choices. I draw from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy as well as EMDR interventions when dealing with relational trauma and the desire to change.
