Feelings are valid—you have a right to them. But when emotions become so painful and confusing that it’s hard to breathe, or when they trigger choices and behaviors you regret or fear, it’s worth examining their accuracy. Circumstances change, yet the same painful emotions often recur, regardless of the situation or relationship. Gaining clarity in how to recognize and navigate these feelings is the goal of my therapy style. Understanding this pattern helps you see that while your emotions are real, they may not always reflect the full truth of the circumstances.
