Seeking therapy for your child can feel overwhelming! I meet you and your child with a warm and friendly presence, helping you both step into the therapeutic process with confidence. Your child might not understand why they are coming to therapy, and building trust can take time. I build trust by creating a strong relationship that helps them find ways to safely express their emotions that are authentic to who they are. As a part of the Adventure Works team, I draw from my experiences of canoeing the Canadian wilderness, leading high school adventures, coaching grade school runners, and facilitating an art-based therapy group. Each child brings their own unique interests, and these are helpful and powerful in their path to healing and growth. Together we draw from our backgrounds and use our strengths to build lasting mental health habits and create meaningful change. My approach integrates person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, CBT, and DBT.
