About
Depression, anxiety and addiction are often compatriots. They feed off each other and create a sense of hopelessness. Your struggle may be with substances (drugs/food), compulsive acts or obsessive thinking. However, they are often slightly different-shaped pieces to the same puzzle. Additionally, if you experienced trauma in your lifetime, you are even more susceptible to these disorders. Gratefully, there is hope and recovery for them! It is often not easy or quick, but it is doable. "God grant me the courage not to give up what I think is right even though I think it is hopeless." -- Chester Nimitz, WWII Fleet Admiral. I've worked in a variety of settings with a variety people - many struggling with addictions (drugs, food), others dealing with the depression, anxiety/OCD, and some who are facing difficult life decisions and/or seeking personal growth. I work hard to build trust and rapport with ALL my clients as this is a very big factor in successful outcomes.
