As a therapist, I sit with my clients while they process the struggles in their lives, and support them as they build upon their strengths with effective strategies for handling difficulties in the future. I strongly believe that therapy is most effective when work is done outside of our sessions- by both the client and myself. In keeping a small caseload, I am better able to allocate my time and energy to meeting the specific needs of my clients through research, education, and interventions tailored to each case. Similarly, I hope my clients will work on their growth during the week by practicing techniques discussed in session. As a Board Certified Counselor, I have been trained in a variety of modalities; however I tend to prefer a strength based, solution-focused approach.
