A psychiatrist with whom I work has described my therapeutic style as "artistic". Mine is not a sing-songy, head weaving, "how does that make you feel?" therapeutic approach. Rather, I respect the fact that my patients are presenting problems that necessitated their appointment. Problems have solutions. This is important work. I believe therapy should be an active process. My sessions are almost always active and highly engaging. This is the work of solution discovery. I believe people have their own answers.
