Sometimes it can be hard to accept help. In a world where we are taught to meet every challenge with a brave face and a stiff upper lip, “help” can seem like a dirty word. But it is only when we acknowledge our need for help that we can truly begin to progress and flourish. It is this understanding that guides my practice as a therapist. It is this appreciation of the benefits of help that led me to this field. Open and honest communication is the hallmark of any relationship, and the therapeutic one is no exception. I believe a collaborative, respectful relationship with clients will always yield the best results.
