About
Starting therapy can feel intimidating. Opening up to someone new, talking about things you’ve held inside, and not knowing what to expect can bring up a lot of anxiety. You’re not alone in that — and I understand it not just professionally, but personally as well. My approach is person-centered, practical, and compassionate. I believe therapy should feel safe, supportive, and human — not clinical or judgmental. At the same time, I don’t believe in therapy that stays on the surface. I will meet you where you are, while also gently challenging you when it’s helpful, because growth often happens just outside of our comfort zone. I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. This allows us to work with what’s happening in the present and with experiences from the past that may still be influencing you today. I have a strong focus on working with trauma and substance use, and I approach this work from a nonjudgmental, strengths-based lens.
