About
My name is Audre Medlock, PhD, NCC. I hold a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision (CES) and am a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I earned my Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus on psychology and criminology, from the University of Texas. I have also completed my doctoral research in the area of gerontological counseling. Before working as a mental and behavioral health therapist, I worked as a wellness counselor. I have been a clinical supervisor and continue to provide supervisory support for licensure purposes. My therapeutic approach is direct with an emphasis on change. Additionally, I practice gentle yoga, which supports both physical and mental well-being. As a self-published author, I’ve created a series of children’s workbooks focused on mental health and am currently writing a self-improvement book on aging.
