Hi, my name is Aurora and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years experience as a clinical social worker. I have worked in a variety of settings and have had a private practice for 19 years. I have developed a specialization for working with adults who are often successful in areas of their life however feel stuck or unhappy in other areas often due to trauma. I work with clients who are willing to engage in the therapeutic process to better understand their history and unique story and to process maladaptive dynamics and body memories so they can live a healthier, more fulfilling life. My approach is warm, relational, client-centered and culturally sensitive. My work is wholistic and explores both psychoanalytic themes and dynamics as well as how experiences are held within the nervous system and psyche. I integrate Psychoanalytic theory, Polyvagal Theory, Systems/Family therapy, neuroscience/Neurofeedback and Attachment-Focused EMDR.
