Oftentimes we have a strong identity tied to our work or sport, yet experience acute and chronic trauma associated with extreme lifestyles and obscure scheduling, while still contending with identity conflict, under appreciation, and inadequate self-care. When we define ourselves by our capacity for action, exist in a high-stress and often misunderstood world, and constantly give of ourselves, sometimes we need help.
