My practice relies heavily upon radical curiosity, and a belief that clients are the experts regarding their own stories and histories. My style is influenced by a focus upon trauma, and how even “little t" traumas, such as disappointments, relationship troubles and insecurities, may impact our ability to relate to others in an authentic manner. Clients are viewed as the directors of their own clinical journeys, while I offer navigation and facilitation, along the path. My approach to therapy is a synthesis of client-centered and directive orientations, and I am a trained EMDR therapist.
