As a licensed clinician, for over 19 years I have worked on in-patient psychiatric units; out-patient clinics for adults, and teens, forensic settings, shelters, and community settings. I specialize in working with survivors of intimate partner violence, substance use disorders, depression, trauma, and sexual abuse. Through poems, journaling, storytelling, song lyrics and other literature, poetry therapy is helping people to heal and grow, one word, one day at a time.
