Each client is unique and experiences worldviews and values differently. Clients of various ethnic and racial groups have diverse beliefs, social structures, interactional patterns and experiences within their personal ecosystem. Your diverse personal ecosystem also includes age, economic class, sexuality, gender identification, and disability. As these various dimensions come together, you may experience the intersectionality of oppression, discrimination and marginalization creating challenges in your mental health. As a practitioner, I incorporate cultural humility using self-reflection, lifelong learning and a commitment to advocacy and institutional change which guides my work with my clients. I utilize an eclectic, client-centered, and a collaborative care approach that helps you regain your confidence and hope in your individuality.
