We all face challenges. It's how we respond to those challenges that matters. My passion is to help my clients to live their lives to the fullest. I have 35+ years of experience as a therapist, consultant, trainer, and expert witness. I've worked with residential facilities, hospitals, schools, attorneys, the US Military, and the public, authored/coauthored 16 books, and taught over 750 workshops throughout the US and 11 countries. I am Co-Director of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program and Professor of Psychology at Maryville University and Sr. Clinical Advisor at Youth In Need, Inc. View 14 Photos I use a strengths-based approach, which involves identifying and connecting clients with their already existing capabilities to improve their lives in the present and future. I rely on current evidence about "what works" in therapy. In addition to office-based therapy, I offer clinical hypnosis, EMDR, Thought Field Therapy, and teletherapy, as needed.
