Narcissistic abuse can have a profound impact on self-esteem, leading to self-doubt and introspection: ‘Why did I stay so long? Why can’t I change them? Is everything really my fault? How can I trust myself to choose a healthy romantic partner in the future?’ As a survivor of narcissistic abuse, I wrestled with those questions myself.
