The women I work with are dealing with immense pressure in their personal and/or professional lives–even more so given the pervasive realities of sexism and racism. Many of them work in helping professions (e.g., medical field, mental health, education, ministry) and feel overwhelmed and drained, anxious about kids and work, and frustrated with their relationships. Many of my clients are also activists and advocates working for equity and justice. They are exhausted and burned out, often feeling isolated from friends and family. For some their work is bringing up personal trauma that is hard to get a handle on.
