As a play therapist, I help children ages 6-11 adopt coping skills and do so in such a way that they will actually use them! I will assess your child's strengths as much as their struggles in order to build upon their natural abilities. This balanced approach can increase a child's confidence for when they are working on the "tough things" in counseling. Anxiety is my top specialty. Through the power of play, your child learns many of the same skills used by adults but they do so in a way that makes sense to them. Adult clients, personalized anxiety reduction plans are my sweet spot and together we will reach your goals. I offer play therapy interventions for neurodivergent (ADHD/autistic) children. As part of play therapy, I focus on executive function skill building, such as: adaptability, distress tolerance, self-control, problem solving, social skills, empathy, and responding over reacting. I also support children with high empathy: learn how to manage their gift.
