Welcome! I am a Minnesota transplant with Southern roots. I have been working in the mental health field since 2009, specializing in addiction issues and mood disorders like bipolar disorder. I love using Dialectical Behavior Therapy because it addresses how to manage emotions when we feel out of control. I am a direct and genuine therapist. This means we can joke around and afterwards I will ask you where that dark humor is coming from. Therapy can be fun and productive. It's most important to me that you feel that you are making progress. If something isn't working, let's make some changes! I look forward to hearing from you! I can help you set goals to reduce your alcohol or substance use, learn coping strategies to manage triggers, and address the root of the problem. In our first few sessions, you can expect to discuss why are you seeking counseling and what progress you would like to see in your life.
