Therapy weaves life into the fabric of our stories. I am especially interested in the challenges experienced by the adult children of military parents - Military Brats, we boldly call ourselves - and Third Culture Kids (TCKs), Ruth Useem's term for people who spent part of their development in cultures and places different from their passport country. Brats and TCKs often feel lingering culture shock long after their travels are over, if they ever are over. We may seem rootless, but our roots spread far and wide. We struggle to make sense of our wonders, worries, and wanderings; our adventures. I love deeply those adventures.
