I believe that therapy should help you to understand the forces that made you who you are, empower you to escape the patterns of interaction and negative feelings that seem inescapable, help you find your voice and discover more effective ways to navigate life's challenges. Therapy is worth something if in the end, it helps you to change the way you operate or feel differently about yourself. That's why I will encourage you to turn what we learn about you into alternate ways of interacting and to encourage you to practice these in the situations you face.
