In addition to "traditional" therapy, I also offer EMDR therapy - an effective, evidence-based treatment for patients with a history of trauma. My experience as an Emergency Crisis Intervention Clinician has enhanced my ability to rapidly engage with clients, develop immediate treatment and safety plans, increase clients' coping skills, conduct risk assessments as needed, and provide psychoeducation and advocacy. In addition to unsafe and disruptive behaviors, presenting problems included peer/family conflict, school refusal, self-esteem issues, education problems, substance use/dependence, and court/legal involvement.
