I have worked in the field of loss, grief and bereavement for over 25 years in both agency and private practice settings. Serving and supporting grieving folks, whether the loss is from a death, divorce, job loss, health loss or any other form of loss has been an honor and a privilege. Reaching out to a professional for any reason takes courage and a willingness to be vulnerable. Holding space for folks as they connect to their core sense of authenticity, vulnerability, courage, empathy and belonging is vital. The client is the "expert" in their own life; working with someone to connect to that inner knowledge is a joy.
