Hurting? Lost? Confused? Don't know where to go or who to talk to, and there are so many counselors to choose from? How do you choose the right one? I've been there. It's humbling to realize you need to look for a counselor, but when times are desperate, you are willing to put your pride behind you. Every counselor you look at is going to promise a safe, nonjudgmental environment. You already know counseling is supposed to be safe. What you want to know is will counseling work. Will it help you find answers? Counseling does work, but you need to find the right fit for you. I'm passionate about 2 things: helping marriages that are in trouble, and helping the hurting and lost find peace. I have a tendency to be blunt. I don't like beating around the bush. I also don't use a bunch of psychobabble. I believe in being real and practical.
