I earned my bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Metropolitan State College of Denver, followed by a Master of Science in Social Work Degree in 2010 from Newman University. I spent the next 8 1/2 years working for Child Protective Services, specializing in child sexual abuse, working with both victims and offenders. For the past 12 years, I have worked at a crisis line, speaking with clients over the phone. These calls could be anything from someone being lonely and needing to talk to someone to someone being actively suicidal.
