Chad brings a diverse and multidisciplinary background to his clinical practice, drawing from a previous career as a firefighter and paramedic across Southwest Michigan and 12 years (2011-2023) as a sworn member of the South Bend Fire Dept. His grad studies focused on the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among vulnerable populations, including first responders, those in poverty, and survivors of war and violence. Chad's practicum specialization in Substance Use Disorders with co-occurring mental illness built upon his firsthand experience responding to the opioid epidemic as a paramedic.
